Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Trade Marketing Manager (STMM) is responsible for the development and delivery of "Below-the-Line" POS activation, in line with each brand’s strategy and tailored to channel (on & off premise) and market needs.  The STMM is also in charge of leading Chains-related 3rd party programming such as Vestcom, Neptune & couponing.   The STMM collaborates with Sales Team on POS order windows & allocations and delivers monthly eNewsletters to Sales with relevant Sales BTL updates. 

 

The Sr. TMM requires a strong understanding of the U.S. On-Premise & Off-Premise universe and 3-Tier System and Distributor dynamics in the US, as well as wide knowledge of Adult Beverage brand activations in On + Off channels and proven acumen of program execution at the point of purchase.

 

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Exempt Full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 5:30PM

3 Days per week from White Plains office, 2 days per week home office

Responsibilities

Chain Vestcom & Neptune

  • Collaborate with Sales on annual partnership with Vestcom & Neptune
  • Secure partnership, plan & budgets; execute the partnerships
  • Work with ATL Brand Teams to develop POS creative
  • Lead program recaps by collaborating with Chains Sales & Category Management Teams

 

Program POS & Merchandising

  • Lead development & procurement of brand POS and merchandising materials
  • Responsible for developing brand buy books, working with the Field on quantity orders and tracking budgets, leveraging IRG / POS ordering system
  • Allocate, maintain & manage produced POS – serve as the POS inventory lead for Western
  • Secure and manage cross-merch partners & all coupons
  • Manage warehouse POS inventories; ensure only current POS is in-stock to save on fees and maximize current program execution
  • Responsible for maintaining Print on Demand system current with relevant branded assets.

 

Couponing

  • Lead relationship with coupon vendors / fulfillment agencies
  • Assist Sales with the development, production & fulfillment of brand coupons

 

G: Sales Drive, Corp Website & Corp Brochure

  • Responsible for maintaining G: Drive (Sales/Mktg folder), Corp Website Trade Assets & Corporate Brochure current with relevant branded assets, working alongside ATL & Global Teams for current assets

 

 

Sales / Field Support

  • Collaborate with national & regional sales teams to customize plans to local market conditions
  • Responsible for delivering ad hoc sales requests to meet customer needs and incremental programming e.g. club special packs, customized retailer POS

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree, MBA a plus
  • 8+ years’ relevant trade marketing experience in the US Wine, Beer or Spirits Industry
  • Experience in developing brand activations & retail merchandising solutions
  • Knowledge of retail category management concepts
  • Multi-tasking and working cross-functionally with Sales & Marketing
  • Ability to multi-task & prioritize to deliver results on time and on or under budget
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook as well as knowledge of Diver & Nilsen

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, however, serves as a coach and mentor for shared Marketing Intern and leadership across brand team.

TRAVEL

  • Approx 10% of the time is domestic travel; Occasional travel is international.
